Mr. Michael L. Jones began his career in the construction industry over twenty five years ago. He prides himself on the fact that he has started in this industry from the ground floor. He began his career in construction as a painter working on a government Military Family Housing Maintenance contract in Honolulu, Hawaii. His thirst for more knowledge helped him cross train into a maintenance position with the same company. During his tenure with the company Mr. Jones quickly moved up the ladder. He was promoted to a Change of Occupancy Maintenance (COM) Supervisor within a year and was transferred to Fort Riley, Kansas. During his tenure at Fort Riley, Mr. Jones was again recognized for his exceptional management abilities and was promoted to a COM Manager. After only six months Mr. Jones was again promoted to a Project Manager and was transferred to Fort Jackson, SC to run a newly awarded contract. During his time at Fort Jackson Mr. Jones handled the COM work and several multimillion dollar construction projects. It was at this location that Mr. Jones met Mr. Steve Bross. Mr. Jones and Mr. Bross had several of the same goals and aspirations in life and founded First Class Construction in 2002. During all of this time Mr. Jones attended Hawaii Pacific University and St. Leo University at night working on his degree in Business Management. Mr. Jones is a respected member of the business community and in 2003 he was awarded The National Leadership Award.
In his personal life Mr. Jones has been married for 22 years and has two children. He is an active member of Concordia Lutheran Church. Mr. Jones is involved with several charities and believes strongly in giving back to the community. He enjoys several hobbies including boating, fishing, and RVing to name a few. Mr. Jones is a respected member of his community and in the construction industry.
In his personal life Mr. Jones has been married for 22 years and has two children. He is an active member of Concordia Lutheran Church. Steve Bross
CEO
Steve Bross, one of the owners of First Class Construction, LLC. brings close to ten years experience in business management and construction to the company. Born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, Mr. Bross graduated from Princeton High School and continued his education in the business management program at Cincinnati State Community College before transferring to The University of South Carolina. He majored in Economics while pursuing his bachelor’s degree at USC. Later in his career he resumed his education at the University of South Carolina Salkehatchie Campus and received his Associates Degree. Throughout his education, he gained valuable business and construction experience by working with well respected companies that specialized in the construction field of government contracting. This experience began at Fort Jackson in 1997 while working for Phillips National, Inc. under the base family housing maintenance contract. When the contract was taken over in 1999 by Kira Incorporated, Mr. Bross stayed on board and furthered his construction experience. While employed with Kira Incorporated at Fort Jackson, he met his future business partner Mr. Michael Jones who was the Project Manager for Kira Incorporated’s partner All Star, Inc. Based on their similar interests and goals, together in 2002 they founded First Class Construction, LLC.
In his personal life Mr. Bross is married and has two children. His family means the world to him and is the motivation for his success. He is also very active in volunteer work, and works closely with several charities. For the last six years he has been sponsoring a child in Venezuela named Yarlenis through the Christian Foundation for Youth and Aging. Other charities he is active in include Make a Wish Foundation and the Special Olympics to mention a few. He enjoys coaching youth soccer and basketball frequently. He is active in the church and is a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Chapin S.C. Outside of spending time with his family and his devotion to the success of First Class Construction, LLC., his hobbies include: sports, reading, traveling, and collecting sports memorabilia and autographs. He has received several professional awards and is well respected for his accomplishments in the business and construction industry.

First Class Construction laid its foundation 20 years ago when Mr. Michael L. Jones began his career in the construction industry. Mr. Steve Bross, who attended the University of South Carolina Business School, one of the top ten business schools in the US, was employed by a general contractor for five years. Together they bring twenty-five years of construction knowledge to First Class Construction. Mr. Jones and Mr. Bross are the sole owners of First Class Construction, a general construction company specializing in turnkey commercial, industrial, and government construction.
